So, we bought a house, painted said house, moved and went to youth camp in three weeks!
House buying went well, we signed our lives away, and discovered that we have a nice family of owls living in our from pear tree. Then we painted which was also a success. We did have one excited three year old help out in a room that wasn't going to be painted, but thanks to her parents collection of paint samples we found a match and what was once gray spotted is now back to seagull beach!
Moving was great! Movers are great! That was the best $250 we spent in the process! If you need some good movers we will share! Unpacking is still in process. My Mom and friend Michele were a huge help on moving day! After this month I think I owe my Mother my life! She saved me more than once, listened while I cried and encouraged me every step of the way. She made huge sacrifices on in her time and I will never be able to repay it, but I will try!
Camp was awesome! We had our ups and downs like every camp comes with, but overall it was a huge success. We had one boy accept Christ as his savior, and several re-evaluate their devotion to Christ. We survived our first week without our munchkin. He enjoyed a week of spoiling by his GiGi and Grumpy. We were very glad to get him back... he is such a mess.
Tomorrow is my Gran's 70th birthday! We got to spend lunch with her on Saturday. We love you so much Gran!!!
So now that we have made it mostly through June... we look forward to a less stressful July and lots of time to hang out with family and friends in our new house!!
Not to mention my Dad helping us clean the garage, and cut down a tree!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYay! Sounds productive!! You should post pics of your house somewhere (somewhere = here or fb or to my email address). We had a great (also moderately stressful) youth camp too! Honduras next week and then our summer will slow down... maybe.
